In our time of growth, we are seeking dedicated and talented individuals to add to our team. $50k-$61k commensurate with experience McShea Contracting is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Payroll Specialist at our headquarters in Lehigh Acres, FL. As a Payroll Specialist at McShea Contracting, you will be responsible for processing WEEKLY payroll for 300+ employees spread over multiple McShea sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. You will also handle employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions, and assist in maintaining accurate payroll records.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and maintain accurate payroll records for all employees Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements Handle employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues Assist in preparing reports, reconciliations, and audits related to payroll Stay updated on payroll best practices and regulatory changes
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel Previous experience with certified payroll needed (candidate being certified not required) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity Previous experience with software systems like Foundation or ADP, or Vista a major plus Occasional travel to McShea office locations could be required from time to time In recognition of your commitment to us, McShea Contracting offers the following:
