Senior Payroll Analyst (Remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to oversee payroll operations for a large organization (1,500-3,000 employees). This role requires expertise in multi-state payroll tax compliance, payroll processing, garnishments, 401(k) reconciliations, and GL payroll accounting . The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of payroll experience and proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups) .
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Manage and execute multi-state payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Tax Compliance:
Oversee multi-state payroll tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Garnishments & Deductions:
Process and administer wage garnishments, child support orders, and other payroll deductions. 401(k)
Reconciliations:
Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of 401(k) contributions and deductions.
General Ledger Accounting:
Ensure payroll transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
Workday Payroll System:
Utilize Workday for payroll processing, reporting, and compliance tracking.
Excel Analysis:
Use Pivot Tables and V-Lookups to analyze payroll data and generate reports.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline payroll operations and enhance efficiency.
Compliance & Audits:
Maintain compliance with payroll laws and assist with internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
Experience:
7+ years of payroll experience in a large organization (1,500-3,000 employees)•
REQUIRED
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in WORKDAY and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups).•

Knowledge:
Strong understanding of multi-state payroll tax laws, payroll processing, and accounting principles.•

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Attention to
Detail:
Ability to analyze payroll data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
