Full-time Summary:
The Payroll Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the payroll department with various tasks related to payroll processing, auditing, and compliance. This position collaborates closely with the Finance and Human Resources teams on key payroll initiatives while handling sensitive employment information with utmost discretion and confidentiality.
Location:
This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
Responsibilities:
Process and maintain accurate records of hourly and salary employee data, ensuring all hours worked, overtime, and deductions are recorded correctly. This includes entering new hires, pay changes, and terminations. Collaborate with people managers to provide training on Paycor and ABI systems. Regularly review Paycor and ABI for timesheet exceptions and ensure timely manager approvals by payroll deadlines. Ensure all payroll information is processed promptly according to company deadlines. Reconcile payroll data against company records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies identified. Prepare and maintain payroll reports, including audits for accounting purposes. Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, benefits, deductions, and other payroll-related matters professionally and efficiently. Audit pending paid time off requests for manager approval while ensuring employees’ paid time off balances are accurate. Audit seasonal employees to maintain an accurate department headcount. Process employee garnishments and other voluntary deductions within the payroll system accurately. Complete verbal or electronic employment verification requests as needed. Follow up on open Paycor support cases; conduct research, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; experience with Paycor or other payroll/HRIS systems strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required. A strong team player who is ready to collaborate effectively with internal teams as well as external partners. Excellent time management skills with strict adherence to deadlines are critical for success in this role. A detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines. •
