$70,000 – $80,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM – 6 PM education: Bachelors Responsibilities Process payroll for all employees across multiple pay frequencies. Process payroll for public works and federally funded projects, Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes. Maintain accurate payroll records and generate payroll reports as required by FDOT and other governing agencies. Stay current on FDOT payroll compliance, wage determinations, and any changes to federal and state labor laws. Collaborate with HR and project managers to ensure employee data, job classifications, and hours are accurately reported. Prepare and submit payroll reports, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and year-end closing. Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Process garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and other special payroll items. Support audits and provide necessary payroll documentation to internal and external auditors.
