We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment. This role will play a critical part in collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely, accurate payroll processing and supporting our HR operations. Key Responsibilities Assist in processing weekly, bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll runs with accuracy and confidentiality. Enter new hires, status changes, offboardings and employee updates in the HRIS system. Review and reconcile employee timesheets and clock-in data. Approve Paid Time Off (PTO) requests in accordance with policy. Run and distribute regular and ad hoc payroll, attendance, and audit reports. Upload payroll documentation to vendor portals (e.g., registers, remittance files). Conduct basic HRIS training for new hires or managers as needed. Respond to employee inquiries about pay, PTO, or timekeeping issues. Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and company policies. Support the HR, Finance and Payroll team with additional tasks as assigned. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Effective communicator with a service mindset Problem-solver who takes ownership and follows through Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with payroll/timekeeping systems 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or administration preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management or Business Analytics or similar business degree preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required Working knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
