Position Overview:

We are a small, fast-paced organization based in West Palm Beach, FL, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Specialist to join our team. This full-time position is instrumental in supporting the day-to-day human resources and payroll functions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, discreet, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities across both HR and payroll domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely, including regular earnings, overtime, commissions, and bonuses, using platforms such as Gusto, ADP, or Paychex. Report all payroll-related issues and concerns to the CEO related Review employee time tracking logs and expense reports for accurate reporting. Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and manage all withholdings and deductions appropriately. Address employee payroll-related inquiries with professionalism and promptness. Support year-end reporting activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliation. Human Resources Support Facilitate new hire onboarding, including preparation of offer letters, collection of documentation, and setup within HR and payroll systems. Maintain accurate employee records, both digitally and in hard copy, in accordance with company policy. Administer employee benefits programs, assist with enrollments, and act as a point of contact for benefits-related questions. Track and manage employee time off, sick leave, and any leaves of absence. Assist with the implementation of company policies in the employee handbook. Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates. Assist in fostering a positive, compliant workplace culture through thoughtful HR practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field Experience in payroll processing and/or human resources support, preferably within a small business setting. Proficiency with payroll systems such as Gusto, ADP, or Paychex. Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Effective communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset. Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience implementing or improving HR/payroll systems or procedures. Familiarity with Florida employment laws and HR best practices. Interest in contributing to the development of scalable HR infrastructure.
