Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented HR & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role will focus primarily on processing payroll, administering employee benefits, and maintaining accurate employee records. The ideal candidate will also provide support to the HR department with recruiting, onboarding, and compliance tasks. Prior experience with automotive dealership payroll is highly preferred, along with familiarity with accounting systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with payroll processing and serve as backup for full-cycle payroll Ensure accurate and timely entry of employee data and compensation changes Maintain payroll records and timekeeping compliance Support open enrollment and day-to-day benefit administration Answer employee questions related to pay, time off, and benefits Coordinate with insurance providers on enrollments, terminations, and claims Schedule interviews and assist with applicant tracking Support new hire onboarding including paperwork, orientations, and I-9 compliance Maintain accurate and organized electronic employee files Respond to employee inquiries and route to appropriate HR team members Assist with ongoing HR projects and compliance initiatives as assigned Handle bookkeeping, payroll, and HR duties for an upcoming restaurant venture

Qualifications:

Previous payroll experience in an automotive dealership setting is highly preferred Familiarity with QuickBooks (QB), Restaurant365 (R365), and/or Reynolds and Reynolds Accounting knowledge or prior accounting-related responsibilities 2+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, or HR support Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
