Eaze has developed sophisticated logistics and technologies to provide fast, efficient delivery of a wide variety of retail products. We are on a mission to enhance safe access to legal cannabis, educate people about cannabis as a tool for wellness, and drive smart cannabis policies. Eaze is a direct-to-consumer cannabis retailer and technology platform operating nationally in CA, CO, and FL. Job Summary We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to help continue our growth and take good care of employees through the efficient processing of payroll. To be successful as a Payroll Specialist, you should be able to investigate as well as resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company as well as regulatory standards. A Payroll Specialist should also have excellent people skills and a high attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Processes payroll in accordance with company policies as well as federal and state laws.
- Reviews the accuracy of all components of pay and deductions.
- Enters data into payroll systems accurately and timely manner
- Processes garnishments according to federal and state guidelines.
- Assists various locations with multiple payrolls reporting requirements.
- Completes daily departmental tasks and processes work during on-cycle and off-cycle payrolls.
- Supports and maintains effective communication with employees, consistently meeting their needs as well as employer requirements.
- Processes time captures, payroll, and benefit adjustments.
- Calculates retro payment adjustments.
- Completes additional projects as outlined by the Payroll Manager and other ad hoc duties as assigned. Qualifications
- Minimum 2 Years of payroll experience required.
- Associate degree preferred and or equivalent related work experience.
- Experience with Payroll in a fast-paced, high-volume, and demanding environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in person, through email, and by telephone.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and take initiative.
- Experience working with larger payroll systems that integrate or interface with other software systems. Experience in Wurk payroll software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Office 365, Google, and Calendars.
- Knowledge of wage and hour laws, garnishment laws, and taxability of wages.
