Job Description Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Analyst to join our Payroll Services Department. Reporting to the Director of Payroll Services and Benefits Accounting, this exempt position plays a critical role in the timely and accurate processing of three University payrolls — faculty/staff biweekly, student biweekly, and international monthly — within our Workday Payroll and Time Tracking system. This role supports payroll processing for approximately 8,300 Form W-2s annually and ensures compliance with university policies, collective bargaining agreement (Daytona Beach campus), and all applicable local, state, and federal labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and participate in the end-to-end processing of payroll for faculty/staff, students, and international employees in a multi-state environment. Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on time, with adherence to all regulatory and policy requirements. Maintain compliance with all reporting and filing obligations, including tax filings and benefit deductions. Supervise and support two exempt payroll staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight. Serve as a key point of contact for payroll inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service and problem resolution. Assist in payroll audits and support internal control initiatives. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to improve payroll processes and ensure data integrity in Workday. Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience. Progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing. Supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, including payroll tax regulations. Experience with Workday Payroll and Time Tracking systems (or similar HCM systems).
