Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to join our fast-paced team. In this key role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll, maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and internal policies. You will collaborate closely with HR and Finance to manage payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and provide outstanding support to employees regarding payroll-related matters. This role combines both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, requiring expertise in payroll systems, regulations, and special adjustments. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to engage effectively with cross-functional teams. You will also play an active role in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy. Essential Functions:
Accurately process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring timeliness and precision. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Maintain and regularly update employee payroll records, including pay rates, benefits, and deductions. Assist with payroll audits by preparing and providing the required documentation. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies; respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and related concerns Support onboarding and offboarding procedures by ensuring timely and accurate payroll adjustments. Generate and submit payroll-related reports for management review and regulatory compliance. Play both a strategic and transactional role , contributing to process improvements, identifying trends or gaps, and supporting broader organizational goals related to compensation and compliance.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum of 7 years of proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll-focused role. In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage complex data accurately. Exceptional numerical accuracy and keen attention to detail. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll issues efficiently. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.

Full-time Pay:
$30.00 – $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
