Payroll Specialist 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Atlanta, GA 30305 • Hybrid work We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining payroll records, addressing inquiries, and supporting accounting-related activities.
Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and organize digital payroll records with attention to detail. Reconcile payroll transactions as required to ensure data integrity. Manage payroll-related tasks such as Paycards, Returns, Reversals, Stop Payments, and Manual Checks. Process payroll for hourly employees on an as-needed basis. Assist the accounting team with general tasks and responsibilities. Prepare and book standard General Ledger entries as part of accounting duties. Utilize payroll and accounting software such as Dayforce and Peoplesoft effectively. Apply Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and Vlookups, for data management and analysis. Follow a hybrid work schedule, attending in-office days primarily on Wednesdays and occasionally on Mondays. Proficiency in payroll systems such as Dayforce and ADP Workforce Now. Strong knowledge of accounting functions and financial services. Experience with 401k and RRSP administration processes. Familiarity with auditing and benefit-related functions. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and Vlookups. Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Previous experience with payroll and accounting software systems.
