Job Summary:

The Payroll Analyst has a deep understanding of processing payroll, reporting, taxes and audits. Can collaboratively work together in a team environment. This is a dynamic and client-focused role that requires a blend of technical knowledge, communication skills and a commitment to holistic planning and Year-end reporting. This position requires strong organizational, communication and customer relationship skills. An ability to work independently, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner is essential. A typical day might involve a team meeting where key information and deadlines for the team’s client portfolio are reviewed and prioritized, system troubleshooting, and processing payroll.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and process a multistate payroll for internal employees and Vendors. Provide customer support for all payroll related issues regarding employees and vendors Liaison between corp. and vendors to ensure an accurate payroll process Monitor the payroll inbox Assist with preparing annual reporting and audits which includes coordinating year-end payroll processing and W-2 inquiries and corrections Reporting and tracking payroll discrepancies such as overpayments, etc. Assist in implementation of new systems, processes, and procedures Updating Union Dues, Elysian, and other Resources as assigned Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related work experience 2 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing Experience explaining W-2’s and Processing W-2C’s Working knowledge in Payroll Systems and VMS tools Ability to learn and use payroll system and other Microsoft applications Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy Effective communication skills both written and spoken Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
