We’re looking for a proactive, detail-loving Payroll Specialist to join our team and help support our dynamic, multi-location retail operation. Why You’ll Love This Role You’ll be an essential member of our HR team, ensuring our employees are paid correctly, have the support they need, and feel confident using our systems. Your work will influence employee satisfaction, compliance, and company culture. Is This You? 3+ years of experience managing multi-state payroll Previous HR or payroll experience in a retail or multi-unit environment Hands-on familiarity with HRIS systems, Paylocity is a bonus A team-first mindset, with strong follow-through and attention to detail Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or applicable experience, preferred. What You’ll Be Doing Serve as the go-to payroll expert for the company, managing weekly payroll via Paylocity.
Ensure timely, accurate processing of hours, approvals, adjustments, and final submissions. Stay up-to-date with federal and state labor laws , making recommendations to maintain compliance. Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure data security in our HRIS. Provide Paylocity training and support for store and office teams. Collaborate on programs that enhance our workplace culture , such as recognition programs and development plans. Keep staff informed and aligned by ensuring everyone understands and signs off on company policies. Communicate proactively and partner closely with HR, Operations, and Store Managers.

Other Things to Know Before You Apply Occasional travel to store locations may be required for onboarding and support, typically not exceeding 10-20%. While occasional remote work is possible, this is not a remote position . We work a standard Monday-Friday, 8-5 schedule , with flexibility when urgent needs arise. Our team is especially busy during key floral holidays (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas), so extra hours will be needed during peak seasons.
