Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of exempt and nonexempt payrolls. Prepares data necessary for the filing of payroll-related tax returns and miscellaneous withholding forms. Leads a team of direct reports. Manages the operational activities related to the generation and distribution of payroll checks for the employees processed as part of centralized payroll operations. Participates in the resolution of payroll related issues. Your Impact Oversees activities of a team of payroll clerks or analysts that input payroll data and prepare payroll checks. Ensures that personnel or tax law changes are captured, that overtime or bonus payments are accurately distributed, and that timesheets are submitted and retained appropriately. Ensures compliance with payroll laws and regulations at the state, federal, and international level. Selects 3rd party payroll processors and serves as the company liaison. Monitors the work of a team of payroll clerks or analysts that input payroll data and prepare payroll checks. Input changes to personnel information or tax law and overtime or bonus payments or calculations. Maintains personnel records, including timesheets. Assists in the preparation and distribution of payroll-related summaries. Performs complex tasks typically following established processes. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
