The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the effective administration of a variety of timekeeping and multi-site payroll functions, with an emphasis on IFS timekeeping. Job Location:
Thomasville, GA Essential functions: Prepare and Process Payroll for multiple states with both hourly and salaried, union and non-union Ensure the collection and accuracy of data necessary for payroll processing, including but not limited to employee hours worked, paid time off, deductions and garnishments, bonuses and other additional Assist with payroll tax related processes including quarterly reconciliations related to filings completed by UKG. Serve as a subject matter expert on tax and payroll compliance. Assist with all audits, financial, retirement and pension plans, worker’s compensation, etc. Ensure that employee taxes, including local jurisdictions, are properly set up. Assist with general 401k administration and compliance. Complete, interpret and share payroll related reports. Work with Finance team, other department leaders, and auditors, as information exchange or reconciliations are necessary.

Basic Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree desired.
Experience:
3+ years of Payroll experience is preferred. Experience in all Microsoft Office Programs with advanced knowledge of Excel. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of personnel information and records. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Must be a team player, willing to step in and perform steps not necessarily outlined in job duties. Must be willing and able to work specific holidays, as required (non-negotiable) .
Physical Skill & Effort:
Work requires a few simple, but rapid, hand operations. Work requires simple, easy muscular movements.
