Payroll Specialist Position Available In Whitfield, Georgia

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract in Dalton, Georgia. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting payroll operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of payroll systems, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for payroll operations, including time and attendance tracking using Workforce systems.
• Collaborate with front-line leaders to address payroll-related queries and ensure accurate processing.
• Conduct audits and analyses of payroll data to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.
• Manage and process employee timesheets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Handle garnishments and other payroll adjustments in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of payroll terminology, including pay codes and overtime laws.
• Assist in resolving payroll issues and troubleshooting system-related challenges.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure payroll compliance. Requirements
• Previous experience in payroll operations with a solid understanding of payroll systems and processes.
• Proficiency in time and attendance systems, particularly Workforce.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of payroll terminology, including pay codes and overtime laws.
• Ability to handle garnishments and other payroll adjustments accurately.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
