This full-time, non-exempt position prepares and processes payroll.

The position reports to the Payroll Supervisor. About the DivisionThe Accounting Department resides at the Headquarters for McElroyMetal. Comprising over a hundred employee-owners, the corporatelocation has several departments that support our manufacturing,sales, and retail departments. Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-FResponsibilities Payroll Processing – Review timecards to ensureall missing punches are corrected, monitor time off requests andcheck balances against time off used; process garnishments, childsupport etc. Generate reports for management. Record employeechanges to the system including new hires, merit increases,promotions, transfers, terminations, etc. Back up Sr. Payroll Clerkand assist the Accounting Manager and Sr. Payroll Clerk in otheractivities as required. Perform other departmental functions inaccordance with Team Synergy along with special projects asassigned. Experience/Skills High School Diploma or equivalent.

Individual must be dependable, detail oriented and able to meetdeadlines. Basic knowledge of payroll processing. Experience withoutside Payroll provider beneficial. Intermediate skill level inExcel. Basic knowledge of Garnishments, Child Support, and PayrollTaxes.
