Deerfield, Illinois Job description Weare seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Workday PayrollSpecialist to join our payroll team. The ideal candidate will havea strong understanding of payroll processes, accounting principles,and tax regulations. This role will be responsible for supportingprocessing of payrolls, general ledger postings, and reconciliationof payroll payments. This role requires a combination of payrollexpertise in the Workday platform, deep understanding of payrollprocesses and financial implications, and strong reconciliationskills.
What you will be doing:
Processing payroll input andpayments for weekly or bi-weekly payrolls Reconcile and resolvePayroll tax submission though ADP Smart Compliance. Reconcile andprocess weekly integrations with funding to third partiesaccounting for all differences for net pay, taxes, garnishments,etc. Process payments for highly compensated employees includingStock, Non-Qualified, and other Perquisites/Programs with anunderstanding of state and federal tax implications to ensurecompliance. Conduct financial analysis of payroll-related expenses,including labor costs, benefits, taxes, and other payroll-relatedliabilities, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities forimprovement. Identify opportunities for process improvement toenhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Serve oncross departmental teams and provide payroll accounting support forproject teams including acquisitions. Support newprocedures/projects and improvements due to business changes,operational requirements, strategic initiatives, and legalrequirements. Qualifications Three or more years of experienceprocessing multi-state payroll. (Workday) Experience with time andattendance systems (UKG Workforce Management preferred) Workingexperience of payroll taxes at the federal, state, and local levelsProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (V-lookup and pivot tables)Acute attention to detail and accuracy. Effective organizationaland time management skills Effective communication skills bothwritten and oral Salary Range A reasonable estimate of the basesalary range for this role is $50,000 USD – $60,000 USD.
