This position will be based in our Lafayette, LA office and is part of the corporate Accounting team. Responsibilities:

Verify caregiver time in an electronic timekeeping system on a daily basis, ensuring requirements have been met for billing & payment for the shift Identify missing requirements (ex. clock-ins, clock-outs, required ADLs, care notes, signatures) and communicate with Client Care & Staffing teams in the local office to obtain the needed information to process payroll Identify and resolve overlaps, gaps, and service blocks which would affect ability to bill Keep up with high volume of services across multiple office locations with speed, efficiency, and accuracy, turning in a finalized payroll within the required timeframes Review and calculate caregiver mileage records for payment Apply bonus payments, rate changes (outliers), and other items affecting pay Prepare caregiver payroll for assigned office locations, reviewing line by line for accuracy of hours & payment Act as point of contact for employee payroll questions in assigned regions, communicating professionally and clearly to resolve issues affecting pay Enter received Prior Authorizations as needed to begin or continue services, communicating changes with regional Client Care & Staffing teams as required Monitor utilization of available hours, proactively communicating to prevent overages or underutilization Understand and comply with all guidelines established by LDH, Medicaid, and LHCL Model the LHCL values of Compassion, Community, Family, Pride, & Enjoyment Additional tasks related to the Accounting department as requested

Requirements:

High school diploma High-level analytical and math skills Proficient with computers, able to enter and process data quickly and accurately Superior organization skills Ability to work independently and exercise discretion Punctual, professional and dependable Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English Physical requirements include stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15lbs (carrying files, etc.) Satisfactorily pass all required employment eligibility verifications including criminal background, sex offender, state & federal Medicaid exclusions, credit check, and professional reference check. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday.
