The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. This role requires proficiency in payroll systems and a strong understanding of accounts receivable, journal entries, and benefits administration. Duties Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time using payroll software Maintain accurate records of employee hours worked, overtime, and leave balances. Prepare and submit journal entries related to payroll transactions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by calculating and withholding appropriate taxes from employee paychecks. Administer employee benefits programs and assist with any related inquiries or issues. Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely manner. Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or upgrades as needed. Experience Proven experience in payroll processing is essential; familiarity with accounts receivable is a plus. Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements related to payroll. Proficiency in using payroll software Excellent 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy. Experience with benefits administration is preferred.
