Job Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with prevailing wage experience to join our accounting team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the weekly payroll processes for about 150 Employees, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This role requires proficiency in payroll software and strong analytical skills to support effective payroll management.

Construction experience is nice to have. Duties Process and manage weekly payroll for 150+ employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
PREVAILING WAGE PAYROLL EXPERIENCE IS A MUST!
Conduct general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation related to payroll transactions. Analyze payroll data for discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations affecting payroll. Maintain accurate records of employee hours, deductions, and benefits. Collaborate with HR to ensure proper onboarding of new employees into the payroll system. Assist in the preparation of tax filings and year-end reporting. Experience Advanced Excel Skills Construction industry experience is nice to have. Proven experience in payroll management or a related field is essential. Familiarity with corporate accounting practices is preferred. Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry. Strong analytical skills to assess payroll data and identify trends or discrepancies. Experience with general ledger reconciliation processes is a plus. Knowledge of tax regulations relevant to payroll processing is highly desirable. #AFTP123
