Job Summary Payroll Specialist – Hybrid in Norwood or Medford, MA Our client, a well-established construction company, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly union payroll for a dedicated employee group. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll processing. Ideal for candidates with union payroll experience and familiarity with construction industry operations.
Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple states
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, benefits, and union dues
Reconcile hours, overtime, and other timekeeping data in accordance with agreements
Address employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
Prepare payroll reports and ensure timely tax filings and remittances
Collaborate with HR, finance, and payroll team members to ensure accuracy and compliance
Qualifications:
3+ years of payroll processing experience, including union payroll
Experience with multi-state payroll highly preferred
Familiarity with construction or field-based workforce is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with COINS software is a bonus but not required
