Bookkeeping, Payroll & Tax Prep Assistant Sunny Side Accounting 559 Jones Woods Road, Newcastle, ME 04553 Bookkeeping, Payroll & Tax Prep Assistant – Pet-Loving Accounting Team Needs You! We’re a growing accounting firm in Newcastle, Maine , and we’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented, computer-savvy, and motivated team member to help us serve our clients with accuracy and care. This is a fast-paced role that includes a variety of responsibilities, from bookkeeping and payroll to tax preparation and office support. It’s not an entry-level position—we’re looking for someone who’s ready to work hard, learn quickly, and grow with us .
What You’ll Be Doing:
Bookkeeping for multiple clients Payroll processing Tax return preparation (individual and small business) Answering phones and assisting clients professionally Scanning, organizing, and maintaining digital records General office support as needed
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Is great with computers (QuickBooks, Excel, and tax software experience a plus) Is eager to learn and not afraid of a challenge Is organized, dependable, and pays close attention to detail Can multitask and stay cool under pressure Works well with a small, collaborative team
Bonus Requirement:
Must love animals! Our office includes a friendly cat and dog who are part of the team—so being pet-friendly is a must .
