Payroll Specialist / Office Assistant 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Saco, ME 04072 Essential Functions Process and issues employee paychecks, statements of earnings, and deductions. Compiles employee time, production, and payroll data from time record system. Sort, scan, and file paratransit and ambulatory billing. Works with administrative team to correct any billing errors. Provides clerical support such as answering phones, sorting and distributing mail, and preparing documents. Maintains proper phone etiquette, confidentiality, diplomacy, and professional manner. Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Must comply with all company policies and procedures related to Medicare/MaineCare and HIPAA compliance by doing the following: attending required training sessions; distributing Notices of Privacy to patients; alerting superiors to potential violations of Medicare/Mainecare or HIPAA regulations or company policies, and cooperating in the investigation of all complaints involving the potential violation of Medicare/MaineCare or HIPAA regulations or company policies. Assist with recruiting on internal and external postings. Other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 year office experience preferred. 1 year payroll experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft applications. Ability to multi-task without need for supervision. Ability to organize work and work independently. Ability to prioritize tasks.
