Payroll Specialist Position Available In St. Louis, Missouri

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and process payroll data for multiple clients
• Perform data entry and clerical duties related to payroll processing
• Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
• Collaborate with accounting and human resources departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll
• Process accounts payable related to payroll

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting
• Strong understanding of governmental accounting and tax regulations
• Proficient in data entry and clerical duties related to payroll processing
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
