The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting payroll operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and assisting with audits and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and have a solid understanding of payroll systems and processes. Responsibilities Manage and process payroll accurately and on time for all employees. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings. Handle unemployment claims and prepare related documentation. Create, generate, and consolidate payroll reports for internal and external use. Assist with internal and external payroll and benefits audits. Maintain and handle confidential employee information and payroll documentation with discretion. Minimum Education/ Experience Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years relevant work experience OR Master’s + 1+ relevant work experience; 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree. Specific Skills or Experience Required Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of work experience; 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree Proven experience in payroll processing and HR support roles. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant laws/regulations. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) Job Specific Competencies Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements. Applies strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy. Maintains a high level of accuracy in processing payroll and handling documentation. Handles sensitive employee and payroll information with discretion and professionalism. Proactively identifies and resolves payroll-related issues on time. Communicates clearly and professionally with internal teams and external agencies. Manages multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently to ensure timely payroll processing. Collaborates effectively with HR, Finance, and other departments to support payroll operations.
