Job Summary :
To perform and supervise a variety of payroll and related accounting duties to ensure that all employees are paid correctly and in a timely manner and that all withholdings and deductions are processed properly and within legal parameters. Use independent judgement when making decisions related to payroll/timekeeping matters. Makes recommendations to controller concerning payroll processes and identifies areas of improvement. To ensure that all internal and external payroll reporting requirements are met. Assists Corporate Controller with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in business, accounting or finance. Two years of payroll processing experience. Knowledge of payroll, accounting, and benefit procedures. Experience with automated payroll application systems. Effective oral and written communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skills required. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.
