A leading organization in the racing industry is seeking an Interim Payroll Consultant to support day-to-day payroll processing and ensure smooth operations during a period of transition. This is an on-site role supporting a close-knit, hard-working team that values accuracy, accountability, and speed. .

Key Responsibilities:

Own the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate pay for all employees. Audit payroll data, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve issues proactively. Partner with CFO and leadership to gather and implement compensation updates and timekeeping adjustments. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Document and enhance payroll procedures and internal controls. Set up new employees in Paycor, understanding correct department coding and how the data will flow through to accounting.

Ideal Consultant Profile:

5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state processing and tax compliance. Experience with Paycor is required. Strong attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting and organizational skills. Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
