Summary:
Seeking an experienced Payroll Tax Contractor to assist the payroll tax team in accurately computing, preparing, and filing payroll tax forms in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as a Payroll Tax Specialist or similar role. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations. Proficiency with payroll software and systems. Familiarity with automated payroll systems and software.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain access to state websites for State Income Tax and Unemployment Tax. Retrieve and scan payroll tax mail, review team email inbox, and upload notifications to ADP SmartCompliance. Review and resolve Payroll Calculation tax errors in PeopleSoft every Tuesday. Review and resolve Daily Payroll Tax audit reports. Track and review open case statuses on ADP SmartCompliance. Resolve Locality Fall Off reports in PeopleSoft. Perform monthly Illinois tax filing uploads.
