Job Overview:
Ingersoll Rand is looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst to ensure compliance with all federal and state tax regulations, and to help create standard operating procedures for the payroll team.
Responsibilities:
Register for state and local tax accounts as needed Responsible for handling payroll tax notices and escalating to correct team members Complete reconciliation reports monthly for headcount and jurisdictions along with other reports Responsible for pulling and reviewing annual limits reports, weekly benefits reporting, and ad hoc reporting needs Quarterly W2 audits and reconciliation/resolution of any issues Create standard work for all standard processes Maintain detailed audit trail for all work performed Escalate issues timely to appropriate support personnel Perform additional analysis and special project work related to payroll as needed Partnering with UKG to ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local payroll tax regulations including all tax preparations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required but will consider role experience without degree 1+ years payroll experience with bachelor’s degree; without degree – 5+ years Experience with UKG Pro a plus Highly organized and detailed oriented Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize and achieve results in a multi-tasked environment Proficient in Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well between teams and across departments Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements This is a remotely based position, ideally located near our corporate office in Davidson, NC with anticipated travel between 20-30% on average.
