Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, and assisting with benefits and deductions. This role requires strong numerical skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll for drivers.
• Verify driver trip records and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions.
• Enter and update employee payroll information including new hires, terminations, and changes.
• Process wage garnishments, benefit deductions, and other payroll-related adjustments.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
• Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work closely with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate data flow.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of payroll experience preferred.
• Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.

• Knowledge of labor laws and payroll regulations.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
