Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay:
$25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Public Safety. This position is located at 512 N. Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27604. The primary purpose of this position is to act as payroll clerk, initiating, processing, and finalizing employee payroll. This position will work within the Budget & Grant Unit to ensure employees are paid on a monthly basis. This position will review reconciliation reports for Special Overtime Projects and Assignments and process grant funded overtime pay in the monthly payroll. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities /

Ability to develop formulas for moderately complex spreadsheets. Demonstrate knowledge of technical accounting duties involving the maintenance and reporting of payroll data. Applies this knowledge of accounting methods, procedures, and practices to perform numerous tasks Observe, monitor, collect, and record fiscal data and assess accuracy, validity, and integrity. Monitor activities and assess risks and quality control associated with program. Verify and ensure accuracy and validity of moderately complex transactions and examine accounting records to assure adherence to accounting standards and regulations. Must demonstrate ability to multi-task, work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
