Job Description

Payroll Specialist Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, confidentiality, and a deep understanding of payroll systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees. Ensure accurate calculation of wages, benefits, taxes, and deductions. Maintain and update payroll records and employee data in the payroll system. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies. Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and finance teams. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (FLSA, IRS, etc.). Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data. Assist with year-end processes including W-2s, 1099s, and other tax filings. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Stay current on changes in payroll laws and best practices.

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field. 2+ years of payroll processing experience. Proficiency with payroll software and familiarity with HRIS systems and timekeeping software. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws.
