This position ensures accurate and timely payroll, maintains HR compliance, and supports Finance with payroll-related reporting and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to both HR and Finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Administration Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity. Administer leave of absence programs (FMLA, PFL, and other statutory leaves). Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and COBRA processing. Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities. Support implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures. Prepare reports and provide HR data for compliance and business needs. Respond to general HR inquiries and escalate as appropriate. Payroll Administration Process bi-weekly payroll for multi-state employees accurately and on time. Handle payroll updates including deductions, garnishments, and tax-related changes. Maintain payroll records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies. Finance Support Prepare biweekly payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll cash to the company-owned bank account. Assist with various balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations. Prepare monthly journal entries for company-owned credit cards. Provide weekly clerical support to the Finance team as needed. Support audit preparation and financial compliance documentation. Administrative Support Provide administrative assistance to the HR & Payroll Manager. Support HR, payroll, and Finance projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

2 years of experience in payroll and/or HR administration preferred but not required. Basic understanding of wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and HR practices. Experience supporting Finance with payroll reporting or reconciliations a plus. Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (UKG/Kronos preferred). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
