Job Description:
US Foods is seeking a Payroll Analyst/Coordinator to support payroll processing and administration for over 750 associates across multiple states. This role will act as a liaison between US Foods and two Unions, handling Dues, Fees, Pension, and Health & Welfare (H&W) payments. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple departments in multiple states. Ensure timely and accurate data input , audits, and reconciliation. Process and distribute payroll reports, deductions, and remittances to Unions. Handle Pension and H&W calculations , ensuring accurate payments. Submit tax, wage, and garnishment documents to third-party vendors. Process off-cycle manual payments and troubleshoot Kronos timekeeping issues . Conduct payroll audits for accuracy in deductions, taxes, and reporting. Generate ad hoc payroll reports as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years of large-scale payroll processing experience (multi-state preferred). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) . Strong communication skills (written & verbal). Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines . Experience with Union payroll (Dues, Fees, Pension, H&W) is a plus. Workday payroll experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
Onsite 5 days/week in Perth Amboy, NJ. Small, collaborative team with an open-door policy . Occasional overtime around holidays.
