Job Description
Payroll & Operations Administrator Construction Monitoring Consultants, Inc. Buffalo, NY 14226 • Hybrid work We are seeking a well-rounded Payroll and Office Manager to oversee and support the daily administrative and financial functions of our office. This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a wide range of responsibilities—from payroll processing to vendor communication and client support. The ideal candidate will be a dependable, proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. Experience in construction consulting, finance, or small business operations is a plus.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration :
Manage weekly payroll processing accurately and on time.
Bookkeeping & Financial Support :
Assist with data entry and reconciliation in QuickBooks.
Employee Benefits :
Coordinate benefit enrollments and updates for staff.
Records Management :
Create, maintain, and update employee and vendor files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Vendor & Client Relations :
Maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers, clients, and team members.
Reception & Communication Support :
Answer phones, manage incoming inquiries, and direct communications appropriately.
Lead Follow-up :
Track and follow up on incoming customer or client leads.
General Office Support :
Sort and distribute mail, manage office supplies, and support overall administrative flow. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as an Office Manager, Payroll Coordinator, or Administrative Assistant Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite Strong data entry and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication Familiarity with HR/payroll systems and employee onboarding a plus Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Experience in a small business or consulting environment preferred Work Environment In-office presence required for core tasks; select weekly duties may be performed remotely after onboarding.
