Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our wholesale distribution operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while honing your payroll expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll calculations accurately, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, and time worked.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by calculating payroll taxes and deductions.
- Handle garnishments, adjustments, and worker’s compensation claims with precision.
- Collaborate with supervisors and the Payroll Manager to address payroll discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain and update payroll templates and salary structures as needed.
- Prepare and submit expense reports related to payroll activities.
- Assist in the administration of bonus programs and commission structures.
- Manage payroll-related documentation, ensuring all records are organized and accessible.
- Conduct audits to verify payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Provide support during payroll system updates or replacements. Requirements
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of payroll experience in a detail-oriented environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including tax calculations and expense reporting.
- Proficiency in handling garnishments, adjustments, and commission-based compensation.
- Familiarity with payroll templates and salary structures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively under supervision while meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address discrepancies effectively.
- Experience with worker’s compensation and bonus programs is a plus.
