Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all staff, verifying accuracy of time records, earnings, and deductions.
Leverage payroll systems such as Paychex to streamline payroll operations and generate detailed reports.
Review and interpret payroll data to detect inconsistencies, taking corrective action in a timely manner.
Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting and ledger reconciliation.
Stay up to date with and ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
Maintain organized and current employee payroll records, including tax documents, direct deposit details, and benefit deductions.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and process insights.
Requirements:
3 or more years of experience in payroll management
Experience processing union payroll is required
Ability to utilize payroll software, experience with Paychex is a plus!
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
