Job Description
Payroll Specialist Agostino Utilities LLC Schwenksville, PA 19473 The Payroll Processing Specialist ensures employees are paid accurately and on time by managing all aspects of payroll, from calculating wages and taxes to distributing paychecks and maintaining records. You are also responsible for responding to employee enquiries related to payroll and benefits and working closely with other members of the HR team to ensure that you complete all payroll-related tasks on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Calculating Wages and Deductions:
Accurately calculating employee gross pay, withholding taxes (federal, state, local), and other deductions (e.g., health insurance, retirement contributions).
Processing Payroll:
Entering and processing employee hours, wages, and deductions into the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
Maintaining Payroll Records:
Keeping detailed records of all payroll transactions, including employee earnings, deductions, and taxes.
Tax Compliance:
Ensuring accurate reporting and payment of payroll taxes, adhering to all relevant regulations.
Distributing Paychecks:
Preparing and distributing paychecks or direct deposits to employees.
Addressing Payroll Inquiries:
Responding to employee questions about paychecks and payroll-related issues.
Ensuring Data Accuracy:
Verifying the accuracy of timekeeping data, employee information, and other payroll-related data.
Maintaining Confidentiality:
Handling sensitive employee financial information with utmost confidentiality.
