We are 85 years young and seeking a dynamic, responsible and reliable Payroll Administratory to join our expanding team. Job Summary The Payroll Associate’s responsibility is to accurately process payroll for up to seven companies in four states, with union/non-union, exempt/non-exempt employees and perform a variety of supporting payroll functions. Assist and support Human Resources and Executive Management in addition to providing excellent customer service to all Associates. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Review electronic timecards for accuracy and work with supervisors to correctly code attendance of all employees. Manage and maintain policy assignments and balance (PTO, sick, Parental Leave, FMLA, STDI, etc.). Accurately pay all employees on a variety of pay cycles, mail pay checks to employees as needed. Research and process adjustments, void checks, corrections to payroll, etc. Maintain accurate employee/personnel records in the payroll database and electronic HRPayroll files. Review taxes on a weekly basis as well as quarterly tax returns and W-2s for accuracy. Understand the union contract, employee handbook, applicable regulations, and other company policies in multiple states in relation to payroll as well as answer employee questions, provide information and excellent customer service. Perform supporting duties such as employment verifications, unemployment, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to accounting, union reporting, etc. Verify and process Union Voluntary Life, Dues, HealthWelfare, Medical, etc. Identify corrections/adjustments and request credits as needed. Knowledge of FMLA, short term disability, worker’s compensation, and accounting/general ledger. All other duties as assigned by the Payroll Administrator. Education:
High School or equivalent experience
Experience:
3 years’ experience preferred Accounts Payable background preferred JetPay/NCR Workforce Today or other Payroll service, TimeAttendance software
Skills:
Analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and good organization skills Good verbal and written communication skills Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – Intermediate level required) Ability to work individually as well as part of a team Confidentiality a must
Working Conditions:
office (Dept. hours are Mon thru Fri. 8:00am – 4:30pm)
