Payroll Associate 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Tatamy, PA 18085 We are looking for an experienced Payroll Associate to oversee payroll operations for a manufacturing company in Tatamy, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to manage payroll processes, ensure compliance, and provide support to employees and senior management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, auditing, and benefits administration while fostering efficient workflows and maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities:

Supervise payroll operations and ensure department goals and milestones are achieved effectively. Maintain and enhance payroll systems by overseeing data collection, calculations, and entries. Review and approve updates to payroll records, including exemptions, deductions, taxes, and benefits changes. Direct the production and distribution of paychecks and direct deposit transactions. Audit and reconcile payroll, personnel, and benefits documents for over 300 employees. Prepare detailed reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, leave balances, and non-taxable wages. Calculate and approve payroll liabilities, including federal, state, and local taxes. Reconcile payroll accounts, address discrepancies, and manage outstanding checks. Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, HR teams, and senior management. Prepare workers’ compensation audit reports and verify final annual invoices from insurance providers. Ability to manage and supervise a team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Familiarity with 401k and RRSP administration. Background in accounting functions related to payroll. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication abilities to provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
