$23-33/hr Join Chord Specialty Dental Partners and play a key role in ensuring our growing organization runs smoothly and compliantly. As we grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to help us deliver timely and accurate payroll while supporting our HR team in key operational processes.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing multi-company bi-weekly payrolls and auditing employee and benefit changes across our Payroll, HRIS, and Benefit systems. You’ll ensure accuracy, compliance with labor laws, and alignment with company policies. You’ll also collaborate closely with Human Resources and department managers to resolve timecard discrepancies and support ongoing people operations projects.

Nashville, TN (on-site) Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple entities
Audit employee records in the HRIS and process payroll adjustments (retro pay, terminations, PTO payouts)
Partner with the HR Generalist to update records and coordinate benefit-related adjustments (e.g., LOAs, enrollments)
Ensure payroll compliance with company policy and FLSA regulations
Resolve timekeeping discrepancies and respond to employee and manager inquiries
Support payroll-related audits and generate reports for management and third-party vendors
Assist HR during benefit open enrollment, acquisitions, and 401(k) audits
Contribute to special projects and process improvements within Payroll and HR
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience with Payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping systems preferred
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Proficiency in Excel, including familiarity with formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
