Position Overview:
The Payroll Tax Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. This role requires extensive experience with ADP payroll systems and a strong understanding of payroll tax laws. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Tax Compliance:
Ensure accurate and timely filing of all payroll tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes.
ADP Payroll Systems:
Utilize ADP payroll systems to process payroll, generate reports, and maintain accurate payroll tax records.
Tax Research:
Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll tax laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Reconciliation:
Perform regular reconciliations of payroll tax accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Audit Support:
Assist with internal and external payroll tax audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit payroll tax reports to various government agencies.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in payroll tax administration.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll tax analysis, with a strong background in using ADP payroll systems.
Education:
High School Diploma Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations- multi state/
FEINs Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills..
