Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in managing payroll and accounts payable processes for a large service organization.   • Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for employees in Tennessee, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Handle payroll tax filings and address requirements for employees residing out of state.
  • Manage accounts payable functions, including coding invoices to appropriate internal budgets and processing payments.
  • Perform weekly check runs and oversee invoice approval workflows.
  • Provide vendor support by troubleshooting issues and maintaining effective communication.
  • Utilize accounting software to ensure smooth payroll and accounts payable operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency. Requirements
  • Proven experience in payroll administration and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in UKG Pro and/or UKG Ready.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to process payroll for organizations with 100-500 employees.
  • Familiarity with coding invoices to budgets and managing vendor relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to new systems.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
