Job Description
Description We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be integral in enhancing our payroll process for a large number of employees across various locations. You will be entrusted with ensuring accuracy and punctuality in the processing of payrolls and maintaining comprehensive records. Responsibilities
- Accurately and promptly process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring no delays in payments.
- Handle payroll-related tasks, including the maintenance of employee records, setting up direct deposits, calculating adjustments and deductions.
- Validate and reconcile payroll before transmission, confirming the accuracy of reports.
- Understand and apply appropriate taxation and benefits related to payroll operations.
- Generate statistical reports, statements, and summaries pertinent to the payroll function.
- Work in collaboration with the human resources department for updates concerning salary adjustments.
- Uphold compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
- Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
- Prepare accurate and timely year-end reporting.
- Use ADP Workforce Now and other software systems to facilitate payroll functions.
- Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills in dealing with high-volume payroll operations.
- Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.

- Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in ADP – Financial Services is required.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is a must.
- Demonstrated capability in handling Accounting Functions is essential.
- Experience in managing Multi-state Payroll is necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is desired.
