Payroll Manager Summary Compiles confidential data to maintain payroll records by performing the following duties. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, and insurance to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records. Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records. Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll. Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and garnishments for each employee to update master payroll records. Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments. May be required to prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions. Coordinate, maintain, and generate Human Resources-related files and records Assists in the corporate hiring process Prepares bi-weekly payroll. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Must be highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
