JOB SUMMARY

The Treasury Management Sales Officer, supports the Relationship Management team throughout the sales cycle and provides treasury solutions to both prospects and existing clients by preparing proposals and implementing products and/or services. This person will be assigned a book of clients from the corporate banking group and will be responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales and retention goals. Responsible for capturing and analyzing internal client data and external 3rd party data to help improve revenue generation, and to help improve operational performance through data analysis. This position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment, within the scope of the individual’s authority, with respect to matters of significance to the Bank.

DUTIES OF THE POSITION

The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Generates new Treasury Management revenue sources. Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales and retention goals. Resolves treasury management operational problems requiring identification of cause and implementation of corrective action with Treasury Management staff or other departments. Focus on growth and expansion of existing relationships by identifying and cross selling our treasury solutions while building and executing a strong sales pipeline Identify client’s transactional behaviors and escalate with Relationship Managers to work in conjunction with them to enhance business relations Identify and contact clients to migrate from physical wire transfers to electronic wire transfers Schedule and perform regular client interactions building direct relationships, conducting transactional reviews, and proactively identifying new opportunities Acts as a consultant to prospects, clients, and officers to develop and implement Treasury Management systems. Prepares and negotiates complex Treasury Management service proposals. Independently completes agreements and correspondence with clients Organizes and conducts training sessions for calling clients. Participates in the development of marketing and training materials Develops and maintains an in-depth understanding of the Treasury Management products offered by the Bank and the processes for delivering these services. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and appropriate financial acumen to interact and influence people internally and externally by use of verbal and written communication and through strong presentation skills Works with the Treasury Management Sales Team on various tasks, including but not limited to: Maintaining the department’s pitch book updated Updating and executing Treasury Management pipeline and manuals Generating and analyzing monthly and one-off reporting Preparing and managing relationship reviews Generate and execute Treasury Management sales opportunities Supports the identification, and creation of opportunities to grow in revenues through cross selling and leads generation for Treasury Management products Conducts client analysis and generates proposals Leads and supports the implementation of existing and/or new products and services for clients Analyzes, identifies and assesses data attributes; develops recommendations and processes to improve operational performance ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures, including, but not limited to pricing and cost study analysis Takes ownership and deliver timely resolution of client issues Utilizes a working knowledge of the various Treasury Management products and solutions provided by the bank to originate and participate in marketing efforts Trains bank officers and clients with regards to department products Online Banking functions: Complete and verify all documentation required to onboard clients into Online Banking service (user maintenance, new user creation, new primary administrator creation and modifications, replacements and delivery of tokens, and others) Offer and enroll clients into Mobile App and Paperless statement registration, Bulk payments, MT940, H2H and other banking services Act as a subject matter expert for testing implementations of online banking services enhancements and moving to the production phase. Responsible of leading the testing phase of implementations of online banking service enhancements and moving to production phase Provide timely and appropriate responses to requests for information and/or customer complaints or concerns related to Online Banking cases and provide proper follow up to ensure issues are resolved according to established SLAs Other functions: Individual must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines. Also, being able to proactively seek solutions to complex problems and be a fast learner. Maintain courteous, professional, and effective internal and external working relationships Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish Travel as required Strong ability to organize, prioritize and balance multiple activities Be able to multitask and work independently as well as in a team environment Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed) Ability to carry and lift boxes and objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and appropriate analysis acumen to interact and influence clients by use of verbal and written communication and through strong presentation skills Develop and maintain a high degree of understanding of bank policies and procedures, as well as all legal and regulatory requirements for but not limited to the US/Chile and Peru markets, particularly regarding client’s suitability Assisting on a variety of special projects as required (e.g., Online banking implementation and modernization, Salesforce, surveys, paperless registration, etc.) Provide recommendations for process and product improvement Backup functions: Provide back-up to Treasury Sales Management Team

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In the performance of their duties, all Bci – Miami Branch staff members are required to comply all state and federal regulatory and legal requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1979, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Bank Bribery Amendments Act. Additionally, all staff members must comply with in the Bci’s Personnel Manual and Code of Ethics and other policies of Bci which are either currently in place or which may become effective during the staff member’s employment.

PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
COMPUTER:

Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers, fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Salesforce, and other banking applications.

EDUCATION

BA in related fields or equivalent of 5 years of experience in treasury management.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum five years of relevant experience in treasury management.
