Overview It is the responsibility of the Senior Banker I torepresent Middlesex Savings Bank to the public and to theircolleagues, and to promote the Bank’s core values and mission. Theyaccomplish this by focusing on the customer experience, achievementof operational excellence, achievement of performance goals, soliddecision making, and a commitment to the success of the Bank and oftheir team. The Senior Banker I promotes strong customerrelationships as follows: conducts a wide array of customertransactions; recommends products and services in conformance withestablished Bank objectives; and assists customers with questionsand problem resolution, as requested. Responsibilities CustomerExperience – Develops an understanding of customers’ needs andexpectations, and offers products and services that address thoseneeds and expectations. Develops new business by establishing andgrowing customer relationships, including utilization of businesspartners as appropriate. The Senior Banker I is proficient in allBanker II requirements. In addition, they are proficient with homeequity closings, basic wire approvals, lost bank checks, basicservice recovery, processing fraud claims, and complex businessaccounts, among other technical and people skills. The SeniorBanker I supports the branch supervisors in creating the bestcustomer experience possible. Operational Excellence – Ensuresquality and accuracy of work. Demonstrates sound technicalknowledge, including of Bank products and services. Displaysexpertise with the Bank’s digital products and is a resource forcustomers and other employees as needed. Performs branchsettlement, basic recycler troubleshooting, and branch opening andclosing as needed. Stays informed of alerts and other companycommunications. Performs all duties in accordance with prescribedcompliance, security and risk protocols. Maintains proficiency inregulatory compliance. Complies with all Bank policies includingthose pertaining to confidentiality, email, and others. Performsoverrides and exceptions thoughtfully and within limits and seeksassistance as appropriate. Teamwork – Is an active part of thebranch team; identifies what needs to be done and steps in asneeded. Supports the branch supervisors in implementing Bankpolicies, procedures and initiatives. Acts as a resource for otherteam members and supports branch supervisors in creating a positivework environment. Credibility – Follows through on tasks andassignments, manages time and priorities effectively anddemonstrates flexibility. Expresses ideas well and clearly; usesprofessional written, verbal and electronic communications.

Supports branch, division and Bank’s strategic goals. May performthe functions of a Senior Banker II, Senior Banker III, orAssistant Branch Manager in absence of said manager; this includesopening and or closing the branch facility and being the banker incharge on any given day. Performs the functions of a Banker asnecessary and appropriate. Decision Making – Makes decisionsdependably and consistently in alignment with the values andstandards of the Bank. Draws on knowledge, experience and insightsand recommends solutions. Is proficient at recognizing andpreventing fraud. Miscellaneous – Assists the Branch Manager andAssistant Branch Manager in the caretaking of the branchfacilities. Performs functions, within scope of authority andexpertise, to provide the highest level of service andresponsiveness to customers and co-workers. Performs other relatedand unrelated duties as required. Qualifications Education HighSchool Diploma or its equivalent is Required some collegeAdditional Requirements At least 18 months of Banker experience orsimilar customer service related position within banking.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must possess knowledge of basicmath principles and be able to perform basic mathematicalprocedures. Demonstrated customer service, sales, organizational,communication, and interpersonal skills. Must possess strongattention to detail. Must possess at least intermediate technologyskills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be able towork extended and weekend hours. Scheduling and work locationflexibility required. Must be able to sit for extended periods oftime. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift25 pounds Licenses and Certifications Must attain designation ofNotary Public within 6 months. Required PI272207533
