Job Summary:

The Deposit Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Bank’s deposit operations functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. This individual will be responsible for processing and reconciling deposit-related activities, supporting digital banking platforms, and assisting in the administration of cash management services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the COCC Insight or Fiserv DNA core banking system, strong knowledge of digital banking tools, and a working understanding of cash management services and solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Process and reconcile daily deposit transactions, including ACH, wires, check processing, and exception item handling. Provide back-office support for digital banking products, including online and mobile banking, bill pay, remote deposit capture (RDC), Zelle, and account transfers. Resolve customer and internal inquiries related to deposit accounts, transaction disputes, fraud claims, and service issues in a timely and professional manner. Utilize COCC Insight for account maintenance, reporting, research, and reconciliation tasks. Assist in the implementation, servicing, and troubleshooting of cash management products such as ACH origination, positive pay, and remote deposit capture. Perform account verifications, monitoring, and maintenance in accordance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements. Assist in onboarding new customers and businesses for digital and cash management services, including documentation review and system setup. Prepare reports and documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and management as needed. Collaborate with Retail Banking, IT, Compliance, and other departments to ensure efficient and secure operations. Participate in testing system upgrades and enhancements, especially those affecting deposit and digital platforms. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance the customer experience.

Required Skills/Abilities:

2+ years of experience in deposit operations or back-office banking support. Strong working knowledge of COCC Insight or Fiserv DNA core system is preferred Experience supporting digital banking services and troubleshooting digital banking issues is preferred . Familiarity with cash management services (ACH, wires, RDC, positive pay) is strongly preferred . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree is a plus and may substitute for some experience. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a banking operations or back-office support role, with direct exposure to deposit operations. Digital banking experience is preferred , including troubleshooting customer issues and supporting online/mobile platforms. COCC Insight or Fiserv DNA system experience is preferred , with proficiency in navigating, reporting, and conducting account research. Hands-on experience with cash management services (e.g., ACH origination, wires, positive pay, RDC) is strongly preferred. Experience working in a regulated banking environment and knowledge of applicable banking regulations and compliance standards.
