Operations Support Specialist 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 16 Reed Street, Coxsackie, NY 12051 The Operations Support Specialist is a full-time position based out of our Main Office location in Coxsackie, NY. This job requires extreme attention to detail and the ability to multi-task at a high level. This position comes into contact with many different facets of Bank Business. The person in this position must be able to learn quickly and problem solve efficiently. The general responsibilities of the position, which are all completed within the framework of Bank policies and procedures, are: Handling the branch proof function through encoding work, capturing and transmitting encoded items through the scanners, and balancing end-of-day proof entries to coincide with branch totals; Scan and import various documents into the bank’s document retrieval program; Handling general inquiries by customers including online banking calls from customers needing assistance with locked accounts, forgotten passwords, bill pay questions, etc.; Process and review miscellaneous reports including: new online banking customer applications, Zelle reports, online banking reports, data processing reports, etc.; Reconcile various internal accounts on a daily/weekly basis; Verify all new personal/business accounts (DDA, SAV, COD) are opened and put up on Navigator correctly and all paperwork is correct and present; Communicating with Branch staff regarding accounts and changes/errors that need to be corrected; Manage the opening and closing of all Safe Deposit Boxes, as well as all payments and taxes for Safe Deposit Boxes; Assist with the opening, closing, and balancing of all Rent Security Accounts on a monthly basis; Develop a well-rounded working knowledge of Bank products, procedures, and policies to assist customer and Bank staff with questions; Willingness to participate in project implementation when applicable; Additional duties as assigned by Management.
Necessary Skills, Training, and Dispositions:
Experience in Customer Service-related roles; Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates should have confidence using Microsoft Excel/Word and have the aptitude to quickly learn new programs; Self-motivation is key in this position. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines is essential;
